Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight

Front Sight is The Gun Town Without Political Agendas

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is a shooting school that has evolved – according to plan – into a gun town. Front Sight is the world's first gated community based entirely around firearms training and gun training. Unlike anything before it, Front Sight has been called many things, the Pebble Beach of responsible gun ownership, Disneyland for gun owners, Bellagio of firearms training. The thing that Front Sight pushes the most is safe, effective gun use. Their tolerance for uneducated gun control advocates is slim, but their tolerance for uneducated gun rights activists is almost slimmer. A gun is dangerous in untrained hands and Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight expects the finest training at Front Sight.

According to David Dwyer, the project engineer for Front Sight, the resort gun training town, "The same way that some people will die to live at Summerlin or at Legacy Golf Course, there are a large number of Americans who would like to live near the range and shoot instead of play golf. People are expressing interest in it." Mr. Dwyer was interviewed in the Las Vegas Sun along with all of Front Sight.

Dr. Piazza was convinced that gun users and gun training was wrongly associated with extremists. In the interview with Las Vegas Sun, he was adamant, "We are in no way, shape or form associated with any militia or extremists. Many of our clients are law enforcement."

His aversion to agendas go further than just extremism, however. Dr. Piazza will have no one dictating any sort of agenda to him. In the Las Vegas Sun, Dr. Piazza was quoted as having said, "We have some very minimal investors. Nobody with large deep pockets is funding this project. If somebody stepped up, I'd look at them very cautiously to make sure they didn't have an agenda."
