Shotgun Training Is Just As Necessary As Handgun TrainingShotgun training is one of the many options available to a student who sets his foot upon the path that leads to the luxury, gated residential community that is the shooting school of Front Sight. That's right, you read correctly, out in Las Vegas, Nevada, there is a shooting school unlike any other. A shooting school, delivering the world's finest rifle training, handgun training, self defense training and shotgun training, which is – in fact – a 550-acre residential community. While there are plenty of state-of-the-art shooting ranges available for twenty-four hour use, there is also a K-12 school in the works. There's a 5-story urban tactics training tower and also a church and a grocery store. There's hundreds of yards of underground storm drains which serve for underground rescue training and also a 12,000 square foot self defense training gymnasium. Front Sight promises to be unlike anything before it. 1-acre lots of land for the houses are sold by membership. In a recent Las Vegas Sun article, Dr. Piazza and many of his students were interviewed about Front Sight's upcoming plans. Mike Meacher, a country-club development investor who lives in Southern California said, "People will pay $200,000 to become a member of a golf country club like Troon (in Scottsdale, Ariz.), then buy a $250,000 chunk of land to live across from the golf course. But the firearms facilities, with a few exceptions, are all rudimentary and remote. And look at the membership of the National Rifle Association. There are millions of gun enthusiasts, and many are at the absolute other end from 'Bubba.'" He goes on, "There are active hunters who will pay $100,000 to go on a safari and shoot a trophy animal. There is all kinds of shooting. There is clay skeet shooting, and precision bench rest shooting -- which is more of an engineering, meteorological thing -- it's a science of precision to shoot at a tiny target 500 yards away. The thing is, there is big demand and very limited supply of high-end facilities." Front Sight's founder and director, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, clearly understands this need for a place for gun enthusiasts to go. He is making Front Sight into the place where any student of any expertise can get shotgun training, rifle training or handgun training and bring him or her to the next level of handling.
